January 2016
A continuation of paintings of Mannequins in store windows on Upper Haight Street.

Backpacking in Washington State in the fall. Absolutely amazing fall colors, it actually looked unearthly at times.

Haight street is my closest neighborhood and haunt. Murio’s is at the far end near Amoeba Records. Go there on a Friday night when Nick is bartending.

I kept this painting loose and painterly, I like that.

I am really pleased with the colors on this small plein air painting:

I took my plein air equipment on a European vacation.

In my day job, I’m an animator at a game company in Sausalito. Every lunchtime I steal away into the hills and do a quick one hour plein air study. I painted this one particular spot so many times thru out the seasons. I assembled the best ones into this collage, the earliest one is in the bottom right (note the high chroma colors).

This is actually a painting from last year. I sanded it down this year.
