This painting is an homage to the Manet painting ‘A Bar at the Folies-Bergère’.  It is a bar in a small California town.

I limited the palette colors, focusing on low chroma and correct values.  And trying to simplify drawing.

I am really diggin’ the metal band: Spirit Box.  The singer: Courtney Leblanc did a one take vocal of the song: Force The Rule of Nines on Youtube.  These paintings are from that.  The heavy part and mellow part.
